Netflix<\/a> viewers have been left \u2018actually scared\u2019 by a horror film on Netflix<\/a>, with a star-packed cast.<\/p>\n

Cobweb was first released last year<\/a>, starring The Boys legend Antony<\/a> Starr and Lizzy Caplan as overprotective parents Mark and Carol, whose son Peter (Woody Norman) hears mysterious tapping and a voice coming from inside the walls of their home.<\/p>\n

Trying to get to the bottom of their uninvited guest, the youngster unwittingly uncovers a \u2018dark secret that his sinister parents have kept hidden from him\u2019.<\/p>\n

The flick is now on Netflix in the UK and previously stormed up the top 10 chart <\/a>on the streaming platform, with many raving about the terrifying scenes \u2013 while also urging potential viewers to look past the mixed Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> score.<\/p>\n

Now, though, fans only have a few days left to watch the film before it leaves the streamer on the 10th. <\/p>\n

Cobweb currently has a 59% critics score compared to an audience rating of 71%, but fans have heaped praise on the scenes, insisting they couldn\u2019t stop thinking about it for days after watching.<\/p>\n

Casey P said: \u2018This is an awesome underrated instant Halloween\/October Classic. Not sure why it didn\u2019t connect and find a wider audience but I love this film. All these normal troupes and horror clich\u00e9 get turned a bit and viewer from a Child\u2019s POV.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a Fairy Tale from the people in its point of view. Wonderful film. Excited to see what the director does next.\u2019<\/p>\n

D E agreed: \u2018Surprisingly Good spooky movie. It used different elements of scary movies and came up with is own unique story. It had me thinking about it a couple days after watching \u2013 wanting to know more.\u2019<\/p>\n

As Will R added: \u2018This movie is bananas in the best way possible. First half is like a very dark fairytale and the second half is an outrageous monster film.\u2019<\/p>\n

Samuel Bodin, most known for his Marianne series on Netflix, was behind the camera for Cobweb and wanted to bring out an unnerving \u2018nightmare\u2019 for the audience.<\/p>\n

\u2018To create fear, it\u2019s always a question of preparation and intention,\u2019 he told IndieWire.<\/p>\n

\u2018I wanted to play with the shadows to create that feeling you have when you\u2019re a kid where you can hear your parents but not always see them or understand what they\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

\u2018I thought a lot about Danny in The Shining and what [Jennifer Kent] captured in The Babadook about childhood.<\/p>\n

For me, it\u2019s like telling a story around the campfire. With every shot, I\u2019m trying to convince everyone to have the same nightmare in the same way.\u2019<\/p>\n
