Traffic was stopped following a crash on the M53. Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 2 (Moreton Spur) and junction 3 A552 Woodchurch Road (Woodchurch) at around 1.30pm on Saturday, September 6.<\/a><\/p>\n It followed reports of a crash involving two cars. Police<\/a>, fire and ambulance were all called to the scene and traffic was stopped while emergency services dealt with the incident. The incident caused congestion on the southbound carriageway and National Highways warned of “delays building”.<\/p>\n A force incident manager for Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO <\/a>there were no injuries reported.
