It\u2019s all in front of him. He is still very immature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he is a deadset Highway horse and he could be Country Championships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to get too carried away but I think he has got a fair bit of ability.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While Colvin was suitably bullish about Party Boss adding a second win to his resume in quick succession in the <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/form-guide\/horse-racing\/gundagai-20250907\/ce-readford-hcp-c1-race-5\/overview\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C.E Readford Class 1 Handicap (1180m)<\/a>, a wide barrier has dampened his enthusiasm when it comes to a first-up win for Kappy\u2019s Angel in the <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/form-guide\/horse-racing\/gundagai-20250907\/frank-cripps-memorial-bm66-race-4\/overview\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frank Cripps Memorial (1180m)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bad draw is very disappointing but it is very hard to find races for that style of horse,\u201d Colvin explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s just coming back from a break and has jumped out a couple of times and went really well but she had a very hard draw on a track that does not suit bad draws.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a shame but we will just need a lot of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kappy\u2019s Angel, like Party Boss, has a Golden Slipper connection of her own.<\/p>\n<p>Her third dam, Vaindarra, split the star colts and future champion stallions Marscay and Grosvenor in what was an epic 1981 edition of the Golden Slipper.<\/p>\n<p>Colvin\u2019s first runner the card in the <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/form-guide\/horse-racing\/gundagai-20250907\/jack-lindley-memorial-country-boosted-mdn-plate-race-2\/overview\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack Lindley Memorial Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m)<\/a> is likely to be the longest priced of his quartet; and by some margin.<\/p>\n<p>Her name is Carnival Girl, a bay filly by Golden Rose winner Denman who hasn\u2019t been seen since clocking in last of the seven in a Canberra two-year-old handicap at $71 back on February 7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has come back really good and she has improved.\u201d Colvin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s had a couple of jump-outs going into this so she is fit enough to the run the (1180m) out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to getting her going again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SHAYNE\u2019 O\u2019CASS\u2019 TOP SELECTIONS<\/p>\n<p><b>BEST BET<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Race 2 No. 10: <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/profiles\/horse\/screen-spirit-aus\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCREEN SPIRIT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Was totally professional and utterly impressive winning his lone trial. Dual acceptor here. As for this race, she is one for one at Gundagai and that win was on a Heavy 8. <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/profiles\/horse\/grande-bellezza-aus\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GRAND BELLEZZA (9)<\/a> has a 50 per cent win strike-rate and that has to count for something. Real on-pacer so couldn\u2019t think of a better choice of jockey than Deanne Panya (and barrier 4). Very fit, he should get every chance to succeed. Ditto that and more for <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.racenet.com.au\/profiles\/horse\/newyork-missile-aus\" title=\"www.racenet.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEWYORK MISSILE (2)<\/a> who won easily at Wagga on August 4 either side of two close seconds at Albury and Narrandera.
