{"id":403734,"date":"2025-09-06T22:37:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T22:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/403734\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T22:37:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T22:37:11","slug":"microsoft-azure-cloud-computing-service-disrupted-red-sea-fiber-cuts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/403734\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Azure cloud computing service disrupted Red Sea fiber cuts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sopa Images | Lightrocket | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/MSFT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft<\/a> said on Saturday that its Microsoft Azure users may experience increased latency due to multiple undersea fiber cuts in the Red Sea.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic traversing through the Middle East originating and or terminating in Asia or Europe regions may experience increased disruptions, the company said in a service health status update for its Azure service.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Undersea fiber cuts can take time to repair, as such we will continuously monitor, rebalance, and optimize routing to reduce customer impact in the meantime. We&#8217;ll continue to provide daily updates, or sooner if conditions change,&#8221; Microsoft said.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the disruption, Azure, the world&#8217;s second-largest cloud provider after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AMZN\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon&#8217;s<\/a> AWS, has rerouted through alternate paths leading to higher-than-normal latencies.<\/p>\n<p>This story is developing.
