Not prepared to go down without a fight, Venus Williams<\/a> stepped into another gear in the second, levelling the quarterfinal at 2-6, 6-1.<\/p>\n

Emerging victorious in a deciding set, Serena Williams picked up the win, advancing to the last four in New York.<\/p>\n

Trump will be hoping to witness another thriller when he watches Jannik Sinner<\/a> and Carlos Alcaraz play in the US Open final on Sunday.<\/p>\n

But how do the players feel about the president choosing to attend the final?<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz says what he thinks about Donald Trump attending the US Open final<\/p>\n

After Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic<\/a> in his semifinal match, he was asked about Trump\u2019s plans to attend the final during his press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that it is a privilege for the tournaments to have the president from every country just to support the tournament, to support tennis, and to support the match,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, playing in front of him, I will try not to think about it. I don\u2019t want myself to be nervous because of it, but I think attending the tennis match is great for tennis to have the president at the final.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great for tennis, but on Sunday, my job is to play my best tennis and not let anything else get in the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
