In the United Kingdom, a cat named Mono was born and amazed with his unusual feature \u2014 he has six legs. Veterinarians explained that this is connected with very rare changes in embryo development, reports Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

According to specialists, such a process is called \u201cfetus absorption\u201d. That is, one of the twins stops developing and partially merges with the body of the other. This way, Mono was left with two additional legs on his abdomen.<\/p>\n

According to veterinarians from the clinic in Norwich who are observing the cat, the extra limbs are not connected with internal organs and are simply attached to the skin. Therefore, they do not pose any danger to the animal\u2019s health and can be surgically removed in the future if necessary.<\/p>\n

For now, Mono feels well, eats normally, and moves without any problems. His owner said that as long as the legs do not disturb the cat, he is not planning to remove them: \u201cHe has already become a local star. We love him just the way he is\u201d.<\/p>\n
