Carlos Alcaraz has looked unbeatable at the US Open so far, and has yet to drop a set at the tournament ahead of his final clash with Jannik Sinner. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spaniard is the first man to reach the championship match at Flushing Meadows without conceding a set since Roger Federer<\/a> in 2015, and just the fourth player to do so since 2000.<\/p>\n

Now, after overcoming Novak Djokovic<\/a> in two hours and 25 minutes, Alcaraz is faced with defending champion Sinner<\/a>, who he will play for the 15th time at ATP Tour-level events. <\/p>\n

With both the US Open title and the position of world number one up for grabs on this occasion, the two stars will go toe-to-toe in their third consecutive major final together. <\/p>\n

Though many will pick Sinner<\/a> as the favourite on his preferred surface, Alcaraz<\/a>\u2018s red-hot form may see him hoist a sixth Grand Slam trophy.<\/p>\n

When asked in an interview with Stan Sport<\/a> if this is the best he has felt heading into a major final, the 22-year-old responded: \u201cProbably.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, it was the first time of my career that I played a semifinal without dropping a set, and then I didn\u2019t drop a set during the semi-final, so once again, the first final of the Grand Slam without dropping a set, so for me it\u2019s great.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just feeling great physically, mentally. I\u2019m starting the matches really well and I maintain my level until the last game of the match.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m feeling great, I\u2019m feeling ready, so I\u2019m just really happy and excited about playing another final.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alcaraz is currently the only player in the Open Era to have exactly five Grand Slam titles to his name. <\/p>\n

With the win, Alcaraz would be just one major championship away from the tallies of John McEnroe<\/a> and Mats Wilander, and two removed from the likes of Andre Agassi<\/a>, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors<\/a>. <\/p>\n
