That\u2019s something for which this audience will never, ever forgive him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Mr Farage said his party\u2019s biggest weakness is \u201cexperience at government level\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He said that Nadine Dorries \u201cbrings us the one commodity we\u2019re very short of and that\u2019s experience at government level\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Mr Farage said: \u201cThat is our biggest weakness. You could ask me lots of questions about policy and personnel and all the rest of it, but if you ask me, how are you going to do this? I can\u2019t really give you an answer, because I haven\u2019t got anybody in the senior team that\u2019s ever been there before.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cNadine came yesterday. She\u2019s the first, and there will be others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Nigel Farage said Nadine Dorries brought government-level experience to Reform UK\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ZM3UOLLJFBK3DKU6BONX547CQU.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"532\"\/>Nigel Farage said Nadine Dorries brought government-level experience to Reform UK (Jacob King\/PA) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Anna Turley, Labour Party chairwoman, responding to Mr Farage\u2019s comments, said: \u201cNigel Farage has no plan for Britain. Now he\u2019s admitted he doesn\u2019t have confidence that his team is capable of delivering a plan if he did have one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201c\u2019Don\u2019t know\u2019 answers won\u2019t solve the problems the country faces. And putting yourself forwards for high office while admitting your team aren\u2019t fit to govern isn\u2019t patriotism, it\u2019s egotism.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cBritain deserves better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">And Conservative Party chairman Kevin Hollinrake said an alliance with Reform UK is \u201cnot going to happen\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Asked if the prospect of an alliance between Mr Farage and Mr Johnson, as called for by Nadine Dorries, sends a chill down his spine, he told Sky News\u2019s Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips: \u201cNot at all, not at all. That\u2019s not going to happen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cAnd, you know, I am always interested in what Nadine has to say. But I don\u2019t agree with many things she says. I don\u2019t agree with that either.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cOf course, listen, Nigel Farage Reform is a very good razzmatazz. Interesting to see all that happening on stage. Well, that\u2019s a couple of days, but the reality is there was no mention, no mention whatsoever, how they\u2019re going to fill their own \u00a3140 billion-a-year black hole and put that in context as you know, Trevor, there\u2019s already a deficit in the country because of Labour\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cBut \u00a3130 billion-a-year. So you\u2019re talking about spending commitments, nearly \u00a3300 billion-a-year more than we\u2019re collecting in taxes.
