A man has died after his car ‘crashed into a building’ in the early hours of this morning (September 7).<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to a collision on Wigan<\/a> Road in Leigh. According to Greater Manchester Police<\/a>, a Nissan collided with a building.<\/p>\n

A 39-year-old man was helped by members of the public and the emergency services but has since died.<\/p>\n

The force said it is not thought that any other vehicles were involved.<\/p>\n

An investigation has been launched, and anyone with information is being asked to come forward. In a statement,<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in Leigh, Wigan earlier this morning (7 September 2025).<\/p>\n

“At around 3.05am, emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Wigan Road, close to the junction of Nel Pan Lane.<\/p>\n

“It is believed that the vehicle, a Nissan, had been travelling eastbound along Wigan Road before colliding with a building.<\/p>\n

“Members of the public and emergency services came to the aid of the driver, a man, aged 39, but he sadly died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

“It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.<\/p>\n

“Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now investigating and want to establish the circumstances that led up to the fatal incident.<\/p>\n
