{"id":405248,"date":"2025-09-07T12:47:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-07T12:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/405248\/"},"modified":"2025-09-07T12:47:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T12:47:13","slug":"nhs-and-glasgow-rethink-routes-into-healthcare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/405248\/","title":{"rendered":"NHS and Glasgow rethink routes into healthcare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NHS Education for Scotland and Glasgow Caledonian University have announced a new strategic collaboration with the aim of \u2018transforming the design and delivery of health and social care services\u2019 across Scotland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two organisations are set to pool their knowledge, expertise and resources to design and deliver education programmes and training that respond to Scotland\u2019s evolving health needs.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership marks a \u201csignificant step forward\u201d in addressing Scotland\u2019s most urgent health and social car challenges, according to Glasgow Caledonian University\u2019s Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve Decent:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy joining forces, Glasgow Caledonian University and NES are creating new pathways into the sector, expanding opportunities for students, staff and carers at every stage of their careers and embracing innovation in education and workforce development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"font-size:12px;\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025 14:51:16.jpg\" style=\"width:600px;height:314px;z-index:1;\"\/>&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration looks to build a more skilled, sustainable NHS workforce with key priorities including improving population health, reducing inequalities, driving accessibility and embedding innovation in the workforce development.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership will seek to widen participation in health and social care careers for people from diverse backgrounds through inclusive education and training initiatives \u2013 including training opportunities using digital and simulation-based learning platforms.<\/p>\n<p>NHS Education for Scotland Chief Executive, Professor Karen Reid said the collaboration presents a vital opportunity to advance workforce development across Scotland:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;
