The noise and screen warning are all part of a test being pushed out by the UK government. It&#8217;s easy to stop the alerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/iphone\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">iPHONE<\/a> USERS: To opt out, Apple iPhone users should go to settings, search for &#8220;Emergency Alerts&#8221;, and turn off Severe &amp; Emergency Alerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">ANDROID USERS: Those with Android can do the same by searching &#8220;Emergency Alerts&#8221; in settings and switching off Severe &amp; Emergency Alerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This isn&#8217;t the first time this system has been tested. The first alert was pushed out back in 2023. However, some phone users &#8211; using the Three network &#8211; didn&#8217;t receive the message.
