Colin Lawson\u2019s partner Josephine described the 43-year-old dad as “heart and soul of our family”.<\/p>\n

A \u201cproud\u201d Scot who died from serious injuries<\/a> at an address in Somerset <\/a>has been described as the \u201cheart and soul of his family\u201d.<\/p>\n

Colin Lawson\u2019s partner Josephine said: \u201cOur lives were richer, fuller, and brighter because of him. Whether you knew Colin for five minutes or a lifetime, he left a mark that will never fade.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe heart and soul of our family is gone, and the silence left in Colin\u2019s absence is deafening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Lawson,43, died from serious injuries at an address in Holbrook Park in South Petherton on August 22.<\/p>\n

Graham Janes, 49, of Pear Tree Drive, Chard, has been charged with his murder and is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court for a pre-trial and plea hearing on September 17.<\/p>\n

The BBC <\/a>reports that devastated Josephine described her partner as a kind and considerate man, who was a good father, stepfather and \u201cproud\u201d step-grandfather.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cTo know Colin was to know warmth, generosity, and a spirit that lifted everyone around him.<\/p>\n

\u201cProudly Scottish, he carried his heritage with joy and pride, always ready with a story, a fact, or a witty remark that made you smile and think.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis knowledge was vast, his humour infectious, and his compassion boundless. He gave freely of himself, his time, his help, his love, never asking for anything in return.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo me, Colin was my light, my love, my best friend, and my everything. Together, we built a beautiful life between Edinburgh and Somerset, a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.<\/p>\n
