Firefighters were called to an apartment building after a blaze broke out on the balcony of a flat.<\/p>\n

Crews attended the Budenberg residential development on Woodfield Road in Altrincham<\/a> this morning.<\/p>\n

Firefighters arrived at 9.30am and spent about three hours at the scene.<\/p>\n

The blaze was extinguished and searches were carried out to ensure that all residents were safe.<\/p>\n

There have not been any reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire is unclear.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said, \u201cAt 9:30am this morning, firefighters were called to reports of a building fire on Woodfield Road in Altrincham.<\/p>\n

“Eight fire engines from Sale<\/a>, Altrincham, Wythenshawe<\/a>, Stretford<\/a>, Salford<\/a>, Withington<\/a> and Eccles<\/a> fire stations quickly arrived at the scene, where a fire had broken out on the balcony of the sixth floor of an apartment building.<\/p>\n

“Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and carried out searches to the building to ensure all occupants were accounted for.<\/p>\n
