Two-time world welterweight champion Shawn Porter<\/a> has finally weighed in on the upcoming clash between Canelo<\/a> Alvarez and Terence Crawford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The stage is set for the pound-for-pound stars highly anticipated \u2018super-fight\u2019 for the undisputed super-middleweight championship which takes place next Saturday night at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas<\/a>, Nevada.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford is set to make the move up to 168lbs ahead of his showdown with the Mexican superstar next week, having spent the majority of his tenure campaigning in the welterweight division where he became undisputed champion two years ago.<\/p>\n

Former IBF and WBC world welterweight champion and rival of Crawford, Shawn Porter, has now spoken out and shared his verdict on the impending clash between his fellow countryman and Canelo.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Ring Magazine<\/a>, Porter admitted that whilst he believes it is \u2018perfect timing\u2019 for both men to face each other, he admits that he thinks his former opponent will walk away victorious.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I walk about a fight with Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez it does come from a personal place for me to route for him but I know how to put my biased aside and be realistic about this fight.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s perfect timing for both of these guys. I think this is a fight that both guys have the ability to win, I think that Canelo has been in enough wars and Terence hasn\u2019t so I think health is on his side, I think the ability to be able to be 100% on fight night is on Terence\u2019s side, I think Canelo\u2019s going to come to the ring at 90%, that\u2019s where he\u2019s at now and if he\u2019s strong enough and he\u2019s mentally prepared to do what it takes to break down Terence, you gotta break down Terence mentally, you don\u2019t break him down physically you break him down mentally.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s know so it\u2019s a tall feat for both of these guys and I think it\u2019s very realistically a 50-50 fight and I do think that Terence will pull it off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
