Manchester City striker Erling Haaland disclosed he has suffered a cut to his face that required stitches during the ongoing international break.<\/p>\n
This comes exactly one week before the first Manchester derby of the 2025\/26 campaign.<\/p>\n
Haaland<\/a> scored three goals for City<\/a> before the September break to lead the Premier League<\/a>‘s golden boot race.<\/p>\n Once they return to action, Pep Guardiola<\/a>‘s side have a tough run of fixtures hosting United<\/a>, then Napoli as the Champions League<\/a> gets underway before a league visit to Arsenal.<\/p>\n The Norwegian kept up his scoring form in an international friendly against Finland on Thursday but has now shown off a wound to his social media followers. Bizarrely, he did not actually sustain it on the field of play.<\/p>\n A selfie posted to Haaland’s public Snapchat<\/a> account on Sunday afternoon showed off a cut under the right side of his lip, which had been patched up. There was evidence of blood on the 25-year-old’s face around the wound.<\/p>\n The City star provided a simple explanation, writing: “Just got banged out by a bus door [thumbs up emoji] 3 stitches [laughing face emoji].”<\/p>\n At least Haaland could see the bright side of the unfortunate injury, continuing to joke about it.
