{"id":406598,"date":"2025-09-08T01:15:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T01:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/406598\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T01:15:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T01:15:16","slug":"using-nhs-procurement-to-unlock-innovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/406598\/","title":{"rendered":"Using NHS procurement to unlock innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A free to join webinar taking place this month will spotlight the role of NHS procurement innovation in helping to inspire the integration of new technologies to improve patient care and efficiency.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hosting the educational session on Wednesday 24 September, formal health service partner InnoScot Health believes it is a key opportunity for the NHS workforce to learn more about this vital interconnected relationship.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018lunch and learn\u2019 webinar taking place from 12.00-12.45 \u2013 entitled \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/events.teams.microsoft.com\/event\/94f057d0-dfdc-4260-a5e7-1cdd54b1377b@965ba838-08f0-4115-8b75-e081e6446a46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Accelerating healthcare innovation readiness through the vital procurement process<\/a>\u2019 \u2013 will be presented by Innovation Commercialisation Manager Frances Ramsay.<\/p>\n<p>She will be joined by guest speaker David Beattie, Procurement Programme Manager at NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), who oversees a portfolio of over 300 NHS Scotland contracts with an annual spend of over \u00a31.2bn.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nss.nhs.scot\/publications\/nhsscotland-procurement-strategy-2024-2028\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS Scotland Procurement Strategy<\/a> emphasises continuous improvement and service development as key capabilities.\u00a0It aims to leverage these capabilities \u201cto innovate, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient care\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Through supplier relationship management (SRM), it is believed that NHS Scotland can foster relationships and partnerships to deliver innovations, value, and manage risk throughout the duration of contract life cycles.<\/p>\n<p>InnoScot Health believes that effective procurement is an essential springboard for innovation ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar will be a great opportunity to:<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Learn from those already innovating thanks to procurement support<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Explore cutting-edge thinking and best practices<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Discuss how procurement strategies are encompassing sustainable innovation<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>The InnoScot Health webinar series is open to all, regardless of role or organisation.
