{"id":406882,"date":"2025-09-08T03:59:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T03:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/406882\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T03:59:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T03:59:09","slug":"royal-reunion-on-cards-as-prince-harry-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/406882\/","title":{"rendered":"Royal reunion on cards as Prince Harry returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThere is talk, growing talk, that he might well meet up with his father,\u201d said Simon Perry, who covers the royal family in London for People magazine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think with any time Prince Harry comes close or relatively close to his father, and they can be in the same country, there\u2019s going to be talk that they might well get together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buckingham Palace states that it never discusses private family matters, while Harry\u2019s spokesperson also declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>The prince, 40, last saw his father in February 2024, shortly after Buckingham Palace revealed the king was undergoing treatment for cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Harry has been estranged not just from Charles but the rest of the Windsors since he and his wife Meghan left royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, in interviews, TV documentaries and his autobiography Spare, the couple have been critical of the royal household with Harry delivering particularly barbed comments about his father and elder brother, heir Prince William.<\/p>\n<p>In an emotional interview in May, after he lost a legal battle with the British government over his security, Harry, the Duke of Sussex, told the BBC he wanted a rapprochement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, some members my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course they will never forgive me for lots of things,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you know \u2026 I would love reconciliation with my family \u2026 there\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore. And life is precious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know how much longer my father has.
