The Transport for London<\/a> website crashed on Monday morning as Londoners<\/a> faced a nightmare trying to get to work.<\/p>\n

People trying to clicking onto specific lines to find out more information about the impact of a five-day RMT<\/a> walkout were greeted with an \u201cinternal service error\u201d message.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease try again later,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

It comes as Tube services were wiped out on Monday morning as five days of walkouts by members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union kicks in. <\/a><\/p>\n

Social media users speculated that the website had \u201cbuckled under strain\u201d as hundreds of thousands of Londoners pondered how to plot their way in to work – or whether to give up and stay at home.<\/p>\n

The action kicked off on Sunday with limited services running but levels of disruption are set to ramp up as Transport for London (TfL) warned there will be few or no services between Monday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

An error screen appeared when the Standard tried to access TfL\u2019s website (TfL)<\/p>\n

No trains will be running before 8am and passengers are asked to complete journeys by 6pm.<\/a><\/p>\n

There will also be no Docklands Light Railway services on Tuesday and Thursday because of a strike<\/a> by RMT members in a separate pay dispute.<\/p>\n
