{"id":407482,"date":"2025-09-08T09:39:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T09:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/407482\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T09:39:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T09:39:10","slug":"man-19-charged-with-attempted-murder-after-bristol-stabbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/407482\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 19, charged with attempted murder after Bristol stabbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">Emergency services were called to the incident in Stapleton Road, Easton, at around 14:40 BST on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">Mohammed Akakhail, of Shamrock Road in Eastville, who is also charged with possession of a bladed article, is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates&#8217; Court later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">Avon and Somerset Police said the victim remains in hospital for treatment for his injuries which are no longer believed to be life-threatening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on conditional police bail while investigation work continues, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">Ch Insp Serena Serjeant said: &#8220;We&#8217;re incredibly grateful to those people who&#8217;ve contacted us with information which has been vital in helping us understand the circumstances of Friday&#8217;s incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">&#8220;If you do have information and haven&#8217;t yet spoken to an officer, please get in touch,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 hxuGS\">Anyone with any relevant information is urged to contact the force or Crimestoppers anonymously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing.
