Police will return to the scene of a fatal traffic collision in Co Antrim this week to carry out tests. <\/p>\n

Officers from the PSNI\u2019s Collision Investigation Unit investigating a pedestrian being struck by a car<\/a> on Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on January 13 will conduct the tests on Wednesday night. <\/p>\n

A woman aged in her 80s died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash which happened shortly before 6.15pm.<\/p>\n

The road will be closed for a number of hours from 9.30pm onwards with diversions in place at the junctions of Station Road and Shore Road.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccess during this time will be facilitated for people living in the area where possible, and emergency services,\u201d a spokesperson added. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank the public, including local residents in the area for their patience as this testing is carried out.\u201d<\/p>\n
