Dressed in a simple tee and trousers, the actor debuted a clean-shaven look at the world premiere of his latest film, ‘Sacrifice’. But it wasn’t his movie but his buff and ripped new physique that had fans buzzing.

Chris Evans’ latest appearance shocks fans

The actor, best known for his iconic portrayal of Steve Rogers aka Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appeared noticeably bulked up. While his ripped biceps and abs were impossible to miss, his clean-shaven face prompted speculation that he may be preparing to reprise his superhero role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ that is currently in production.Fans keeping up with Evans’ film career wil know that he ditched his bulked up physique for a leaner one in the years after his MCU stint. He even featured a much slimmer physique early this year, while starring in the rom-com ‘Materialist’ opposite Dakota Johnson. However, his noticably bulked up look fired off a wave of fan frenzy online.Marvel Studios had previously confirmed a roster of 27 returning stars for the 2026 blockbuster, but Evans’ name was not among them, leaving many to speculate that his appearance was being kept as a surprise in the film. However, his latest appearance has reignited the chatter around the Russo Brothers’ upcoming directorial.

Fans react

“He hasn’t looked this good in YEARS oh Steve Rogers is 100% returning in Avengers Doomsday,” one fan tweeted. Another added, “Chris Evans is looking buff! Could it be to play Captain America?””Gee I wonder what he could be back in peak physical shape for,” another quipped.Observers at the screening noted Evans’ physique resembled his impressive Marvel-era days. “He was jacked in real life, like shockingly so. People around me in the audience were gagged,” one attendee wrote online.

What Evans said about rumoured MCU return

Despite the growing speculation, Evans has consistently denied any involvement in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. In a his interview with ScreenRant, he admitted to missing his time on the Marvel sets saying, “It’s sad to be away. It’s sad to not be back with the band, but I’m sure they’re doing something incredible.”

Fan theories

According to fan theories, Steve Rogers’ time-travel arc with Peggy Carter in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ may connect directly to ‘Doomsday’. In the events of the 2019 film, Steve travels back in time to return the stones, however, he returns as an old man after living a full life with Peggy. With this, he created the ‘incursions’, themes that were central in Tom Hiddleston’s ‘Loki’ and Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. Doom is said to be on a mission to end Rogers’ life and the time he creates. Viral rumours claim Evans even filmed a scene opposite Robert Downey Jr., who returns as the villainous Doctor Doom. Other reports speculate that the storyline could introduce James Rogers, the son of Steve and Peggy, as the MCU’s next Captain America following the franchise’s anticipated reboot.’Doomsday’ is slated to release on 18 December 2026.

Chris Evans had Marvel fans on the internet spiralling when he hit the red carpet at the Toronto…

[3940
3983,15701,4080,27815,77,15576,121639,16,15
0":"post-408252","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-celebrities","8":"tag-avengers-doomsday","9":"tag-captain-america","10":"tag-celebrities","11":"tag-chris-evans","12":"tag-entertainment","13":"tag-marvel-cinematic-universe","14":"tag-toronto-international-film-festival","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
