A new leak over the weekend<\/a> has revealed what appears to be battery capacities for every new iPhone 17 model, including the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air<\/a>. Here\u2019s how the reported iPhone 17 Air battery capacity stacks up against previous iPhone models.<\/p>\n Leaked iPhone 17 Air battery capacity vs. prior iPhone models<\/p>\n iPhone 17 Air will be the flashiest new model<\/a> this year, with its ultra-thin design offering something fresh after years of more \u2018boring\u2019 updates<\/a>.<\/p>\n Battery life has long been the biggest question mark with the model, but now the battery capacity has apparently leaked<\/a>.<\/p>\n iPhone 17 Air will have a 3,149mAh battery<\/strong>, per leaked specs.<\/p>\n This compares to the iPhone 17\u2019s 3,692, 17 Pro\u2019s 4,252, and 17 Pro Max\u2019s 5,088.<\/p>\n Battery capacity is far from the only factor that determines overall battery performance. But it can still give us a helpful ballpark of what to expect.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s how the 17 Air\u2019s 3,149mAh number compares to prior iPhones:<\/p>\n iPhone 17 Air will have a 6.6-inch display<\/a>\u2014a size that has never previously existed for the iPhone.<\/p>\n Apple\u2019s Plus models are the closest equivalents with 6.7-inch displays. <\/p>\n However, iPhone 17 Air will include ProMotion support with a variable 120Hz refresh rate. That\u2019s something the Plus line never had\u2014making direct comparisons tough.
