But for this series of the celebrity reboot<\/a>, the boss-man behind the mic will be more than happy to let the sparks fly \u2014 especially when it comes to romance.<\/p>\n

The ITV<\/a> hit, which returns to our screens tonight<\/a>, is turning up the heat faster than the spring sun, with a house that looks more like the Love Island<\/a> villa, and some \u00adgorgeous young stars ready to make a splash \u2014 even, perhaps, in the famous hot tub.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no surprise, really, with the world of reality television recently finding its sex factor.<\/p>\n

Netflix\u2019s<\/a> Temptation Island<\/a> is leading the way, even shocking today\u2019s unflappable audience with raunchy hook-ups in the shower and a bonk in a tent.<\/p>\n

A second series of Rylan Clark\u2019s<\/a> entirely nude Paramount+<\/a> series \u00adDating Naked<\/a> is on the way, as is Channel 4\u2019s<\/a> much-hyped Virgin Island<\/a>, where a string of innocents pop their cherries with the help of \u201csexological bodyworkers\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now The Sun can reveal Big Brother<\/a> is eager to reclaim its crown as reality TV\u2019s original love cauldron, with Towie<\/a> stunner Ella Rae Wise<\/a> and Love Island legend Chris Hughes<\/a> hotly tipped to lead the charge.<\/p>\n

A TV source said: \u201cViewers are feeling frisky and commissioners have responded accordingly \u2014 there\u2019s a huge trend in sexy, naughty reality television right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cBig Brother has always done drama and bust-ups very well, but the sight of George Galloway in a catsuit won\u2019t cut it any more.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut creating an authentic romance or, let\u2019s face it, convincing showmance doesn\u2019t just happen. <\/p>\n

“There\u2019s a certain alchemy to it, creating the right environment as well as installing the perfect cast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having had an exclusive nosy around the house \u2014 which will open its doors at 9pm to stars including Hollywood<\/a> wildman Mickey Rourke<\/a> and outspoken US singer Jojo Siwa<\/a> \u2014 it\u2019s clear that producers are going all out to create the mood music.<\/p>\n

ITV has installed a new nook in the garden, which comes complete with a double-depth sofa and black-out windows just perfect for a couple to get cosy \u2014 and it\u2019s already been christened the \u201csex den\u201d by crew.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the fact the bedroom only has double beds.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had a look around both spaces and can confirm any of the celebrities feeling frisky might just feel comfortable succumbing to their desires.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t take my word for it.<\/p>\n

Chatting to The Sun in the brand new Diary Room<\/a>, Big Brother himself reveals he is happy to see some more bad behaviour.<\/p>\n

In his first ever interview, the man holding the reins of the reality TV favourite \u2014 in typically no-nonsense fashion \u2014 tells me: \u201cHeavy petting is allowed. <\/p>\n

Big Brother always encourages heavy petting, except in a public swimming bath. But in the hot tub? That is fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the likes of Love Island, Married At First Sight<\/a> and Celebs Go Dating<\/a> taking over our screens in recent years, it\u2019s easy to forget that Big Brother paved the way for reality romance \u2014 not least thanks to that famous hot tub.<\/p>\n

A pool of bubbles has featured in almost every series across the show\u2019s three homes on Channel 4, Channel 5<\/a> and, for the past two years, ITV.<\/p>\n

But it really had its moment in 2005, when housemates Makosi Musambasi and Anthony Hutton<\/a> romped in the tub \u2014 so successfully that Makosi later rushed to the diary room to ask Big Brother for a pregnancy test.<\/p>\n

Even housemates who are more socially aware find the lure of heavy petting in the tub too much to resist.<\/p>\n

Jordan Sangha<\/a>, who won in 2023, had a steamy kiss with Henry Southan<\/a>, confirming the hot tub has stood the test of time.<\/p>\n

So which of this year\u2019s famous faces can be relied on to come good on Big Brother\u2019s hoped-for romance?<\/p>\n

Stunning Ella Rae Wise joined The Only Way Is Essex in 2019, when she was dating showbiz lothario Pete Wicks<\/a> and, in a break from the programme, went on to appear in MTV\u2019s Ex On The Beach in 2022 before returning to the ITV2 favourite.<\/p>\n

With a wealth of reality TV \u00adexperience, she is primed to create hot tub gold. <\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s ex-Love Islander Chris Hughes, whose endless romps with villa girlfriend Olivia Attwood<\/a> became legendary when she confessed he \u201cleft her waddling\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Big Brother crew reckon he and Ella are a perfect match.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s just one sticking point \u2014 Ella\u2019s combustible on\/off relationship with Towie regular Dan Edgar.<\/p>\n

A pal has told how the model would stay loyal to him despite a string of recent arguments.<\/p>\n

But a source close to the Towie scene said the 24-year-old was all too aware she had likely been booked as leading lady for Celebrity Big Brother\u2019s spring fling<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The insider said: \u201cElla knows that CBB is an enormous opportunity for her to break through and become more than just a Towie cast member \u2014 it could bring her meatier work and certainly boost her all-important online following, for starters.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s not stupid and knows that a \u2018will they, won\u2019t they?\u2019 flirtation with Chris would make her the talk of the series. It wouldn\u2019t be the first time someone has found love in the Big Brother house, despite having a partner on the outside.<\/p>\n

\u201cStephanie Davis fell for Jeremy McConnell in 2016 while her boyfriend, Sam Reece, watched on from his armchair at home.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither way, Ella will more than deliver when it comes to sexing up the hot tub in a string of bikinis.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Chris, this is also a real \u00adopportunity. His presenting of horse racing on ITV has given him solid, steady work and he remains a big part of the reality TV scene. But a juicy storyline and lots of valuable and lucrative airtime wouldn\u2019t exactly be \u00adunwelcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another show source told The Sun: \u201cElla has worked hard on her relationship with Dan, having overcome several bumps in the road.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut producers are predicting she and Chris will hit it off, so they may have other ideas about pairing them in tasks and airing any intimate chats they may have.\u201d<\/p>\n

So what does the TV boss-man think of this potential love match?<\/p>\n

Although the line-up was revealed by The Sun last week, Big Brother is staying tight-lipped and tells me he \u201ccannot confirm or deny who is coming to stay\u201d.<\/p>\n

But he\u2019s happy to muse on his favourite kind of housemate. After admitting he is \u201cquaking in his boots\u201d ahead of his first-ever interview, he adds: \u201cBig Brother likes a diva and is never starstruck. Big Brother treats everyone the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cBig Brother does not like \u00adcelebrities that don\u2019t talk or don\u2019t divulge interesting titbits.\u201d<\/p>\n

Name-checking former Celeb BB stars Nicola McLean<\/a> and Tiffany Pollard<\/a> \u2014 who will be a panellist on spin-off show Late and Live this series \u2014 Big Brother added: \u201cTiffany is a superstar and Big Brother has been desperate for her to return. She is a firecracker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s hope for the main man\u2019s sake we see plenty of explosions when the latest group of celebs enter the \u00adfamous house<\/a>.<\/p>\n
