including the U.K.<br \/>\nlaunching privacy probes into TikTok\u2019s data practices, or the European Commission banning specific content on the app &#8212; TikTok\u2019s announcement harkens back to the company\u2019s previous<br \/>\nattempts to prove its positive economic impact in the U.S. following the federal government\u2019s selloff bill.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On September 17, TikTok <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediapost.com\/publications\/article\/408362\/china-calls-out-white-house-for-hypocrisy-as-tikto.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">could be banned<\/a><br \/>\nin the U.S. if China\u2019s government is not willing to sell TikTok\u2019s proprietary algorithm to a U.S.-based buyer.<\/p>\n<p>By sharing highlights about its growing business in Europe &#8212;<br \/>\nalong with its essential position in millions of lives and businesses &#8212;
