The producers of Tom Morris\u2019 new contemporary production of Shakespeare\u2019s Othello<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London have announced full casting and creative team.<\/p>\n

Othello is playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 23 October 2025 to 17 January 2026.<\/p>\n

Already announced<\/a> are David Harewood<\/a><\/strong> OBE (Homeland, Best of Enemies) as Othello, Toby Jones<\/a><\/strong> OBE (Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Detectorists) as Iago and Caitlin FitzGerald<\/a><\/strong> (Succession, Masters of Sex) as Desdemona; also Vinette Robinson<\/a><\/strong> (Boiling Point) as Emilia, and Olivier Award-winner Luke Treadaway<\/a><\/strong> (Cabaret<\/a>, West End) as Cassio.<\/p>\n

They will be joined by David Ahmad<\/strong> as Gratiano; Gethin Alderman<\/strong> as Nicos, Understudy Roderigo and Lodovico; Ewan Black<\/strong> as Montano, Understudy Iago and Fight Captain; Tom Byrne<\/strong> as Roderigo; Jonathan Cobb<\/strong> as Telemachos, Understudy Cassio, Montano and Memet; Peter Guinness<\/strong> as Brabantio; Felix Hayes<\/strong> as Duke of Venice; Jasmin Hinds<\/strong> as Julio\/Julia, Understudy Emilia, Bianca and Nicos; Wela Mbusi<\/strong> as Memet, Marcus and Understudy Othello and Telemachos; Jude Owusu<\/strong> as Lodovico; Tom Peters<\/strong> as Vincenzio and Understudy Brabantio, Duke of Venice and Gratiano; and Rose Riley<\/strong> as Bianca and Understudy Desdemona.<\/p>\n

Promising to be an explosive new production, Othello is directed by Tony Award winner Tom Morris<\/a><\/strong> OBE (War Horse<\/a>), and music for the production will be by multi-award winning musician and composer PJ Harvey<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The show is set to be the first of a series of contemporary Shakespeare productions created by Tom Morris for Chris Harper Productions, to be staged in the West End over the next five years.<\/p>\n

Joining Tom Morris and PJ Harvey in the creative team are Ti Green (Designer), Jon Nicholls (Sound Design and Additional Music), Richard Howell (Lighting Design), Nina Dunn (Projection Design), Anna Cooper CDG (Casting), Yarit Dor (Movement and Intimacy Director), Kate Waters (Fight Director), Dominic Skinner (Make-up Design), Suzanne Scotcher (Hair & Wigs Design), Katie Henry (Associate Director), Bethan Mary-James (Assistant Director), Sabia Smith (Costume Supervisor), Mariama Bojang (Assistant Costume Designer), Damian Partington (Production Manager), Rob Casey and Genna Hill for Ammonite Studios (Technical Directors), Katie Balmforth and Zoe Wilson (Props Supervisors), Zachary Woodman (Associate Sound Designer), Kellon Kutz (Associate Wigs and Hair), Carol Fairlamb (Voice Coach), Aundrea Fudge (Dialect Coach), Dom Coyote (Singing Coach), and Samantha Adams (Dramatherapist).<\/p>\n
