A major residential-led development comprising 382 student homes is up for consideration by Trafford<\/a>\u2019s planning committee on Thursday (September 11).<\/p>\n The scheme includes the demolition of an existing office building at Trafford Wharf Road on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal, near to the Victoria Warehouse venue, and has been recommended for approval<\/p>\n Two towers \u2013 one 18 storeys and the other 16 storeys are proposed along and a third at 24 and 22 storeys high for build-to-rent accommodation, along with 1,420 sq ft for build-to-rent accommodation and of commercial space.<\/p>\n To see planning applications; traffic and road diversions and layout changes; and more, visit the Public Notices Portal <\/strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Another block of development is proposed which ranges from six to eight storeys in height and would deliver 412 student bedrooms and 25,000sq ft of office and academic space.<\/p>\n Vehicles would access to the site would be via Victoria Place and would lead where there would be accessible car parking spaces. Otherwise the development is proposed to be \u2018car-free\u2019. The site would deliver a large area of improved public realm around the site to the north, east and south.<\/p>\n Applicants Trafford Wharf (CWH) Ltd and Hilti (GT.
