{"id":410178,"date":"2025-09-09T10:20:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T10:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/410178\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T10:20:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T10:20:10","slug":"man-dies-and-another-in-hospital-after-group-of-people-take-unwell-in-glasgow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/410178\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies and another in hospital after group of people take unwell in Glasgow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A man has died and another is in hospital after a group of people took unwell in Glasgow.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Police cordoned off Cambridge Street at Cowcaddens around 8.10pm on Monday following reports of a number of people taking unwell.<\/p>\n<p>A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.<\/p>\n<p>A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition, and a 38-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were treated by ambulance staff.<\/p>\n<p>Officers remained on the scene outside a block of flats and several shops into Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The street has since reopened.<\/p>\n<p>Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cAround 8.10pm on Monday, September 8, 2025, officers were called to a report of a group of people having taken unwell on Cambridge Street, Glasgow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmergency services attended, and a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
