Paddington The Musical<\/strong><\/a> has announced full casting for the new West End show \u2013 except Paddington the bear himself!<\/p>\n

Rehearsals are currently underway for the new musical, which plays at the Savoy Theatre in London from 1 November 2025 to 25 May 2026.<\/p>\n

Already announced in the Paddington cast<\/a> are Timi Akinyosade<\/a><\/strong> (Man Like Mobeen) as Tony, Amy Booth-Steel<\/a><\/strong> (Coronation Street) as Lady Sloane, Tarrin Callender<\/a><\/strong> (Hamilton<\/a>) as Grant, Delilah Bennett-Cardy<\/strong> (The Magic Faraway Tree) as Judy Brown, Adrian Der Gregorian<\/a><\/strong> (Roman Holiday<\/a>) as Mr. Brown, Tom Edden<\/a><\/strong> (Crazy For You) as Mr. Curry, Brenda Edwards<\/a><\/strong> (We Will Rock You) as Tanya, Amy Ellen Richardson<\/a><\/strong> (Extraordinary Women) as Mrs. Brown, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt<\/a><\/strong> (Hadestown<\/a>) as Millicent Clyde, Teddy Kempner<\/a><\/strong> (Girl From The North Country<\/a>) as Mr. Gruber and Bonnie Langford<\/a><\/strong> (Les Miserables<\/a>) as Mrs. Bird.<\/p>\n

The role of Jonathan Brown will be played by Joseph Bramley<\/strong>, Leo Collon<\/strong>, Stevie Hare<\/strong> and Jasper Rowse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ensemble cast announced today includes Esme Bacalla-Hayes<\/strong>, Tiago Dhondt Bamberger<\/strong>, David Birch<\/strong>, Aim\u00e9e Fisher<\/strong>, Jacqueline Hughes<\/strong>, Kellianna Jay<\/strong>, Sam Lathwood<\/strong>, Natasha Leaver<\/strong>, Katie Lee<\/strong>, Sunny Lee<\/strong>, Vicki Lee Taylor<\/strong>, J\u00e1iden Lodge<\/strong>, Andil\u00e9 Mabhena<\/strong>, Rose Mary O\u2019Reilly<\/strong>, Ben Redfern<\/strong>, Hugo Rolland<\/strong> and Simon Shorten<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new musical is based on the much-loved Paddington Bear<\/strong> books by Michael Bond and the successful films.<\/p>\n

Paddington The Musical has a book by Olivier Award winner Jessica Swale<\/strong> (Nell Gwynn, Summerland), and music and lyrics by McFly\u2019s Tom Fletcher<\/strong> (The Creakers). Direction is by award-winner Luke Sheppard<\/strong> (& Juliet<\/a>, Starlight Express<\/a>, Just For One Day<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The wider creative team includes musical supervisor, orchestrations and arrangements by Matt Brind; choreography by Ellen Kane; scenic design by Tom Pye; costume design by Gabriella Slade; lighting design by Neil Austin; sound design by Gareth Owen; video design and animation by Ash J Woodward; hair, wig and makeup design by Campbell Young Associates; illustration and additional animation by Majid Adin; musical director Laura Bangay; casting director Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting; young persons\u2019 casting director Nick Hockaday; physical comedy consultant Javier Marzan; and additional music consultants Tobago and D-Lime.<\/p>\n

Director Luke Sheppard\u2019s latest projects include Just For One Day: The Live Aid Musical<\/a>, which is now playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London; and Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s Starlight Express<\/a> at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London.<\/p>\n

Paddington is produced by Sonia Friedman<\/a> (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child<\/a>, The Book of Mormon<\/a>), Anna Marsh on behalf of STUDIOCANAL, and Eliza Lumley on behalf of Universal Music UK.<\/p>\n

Michael Bond\u2019s first book A Bear Called Paddington was published on 13 October 1958 by William Collins & Sons (now Harper Collins). Since its first publication, the Paddington series of books has sold more than thirty-five million copies worldwide and has been translated into more than forty different languages, including Latin.<\/p>\n

Paddington has been adapted for television several times, first by the BBC in 1976, voiced by Michael Hordern; and most recently adapted by STUDIOCANAL and Heyday Films into three successful Paddington movies: Paddington, Paddington 2, and Paddington in Peru.
