Golf fans have taken to social media after noticing Team USA is selling a Ryder Cup shirt featuring what appears to be a silhouette of Rory McIlroy on it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new Ralph Lauren T-shirt is available to purchase on the official Ryder Cup<\/a> website in navy for $65<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But rather than the price, it’s the graphic of what appears to be a silhouette of five-time major champion McIlroy<\/a> that has shocked a number of Ryder Cup fans.<\/p>\n

McIlroy, of course, plays for Europe and not <\/strong>the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The T-shirt was originally posted on X \/ Twitter by Iain MacMillan<\/a> and then it was shared by popular golf account NUCLR Golf.<\/p>\n

“Yikes fire the intern,” said one fan.<\/p>\n

Another stunned fan commented: “Appears to be???? That IS Rory. Unreal.”<\/p>\n

“That’s definitely Rory,” wrote one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You couldn’t make it up,” typed another.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One American wrote: “Surely they weren\u2019t this stupid. Euros are going to have a field day…”<\/p>\n

The 2025 Ryder Cup takes place at Bethpage in New York from 26-28 September.<\/p>\n

Luke Donald’s European side are looking to retain the Cup having won by five points in Rome in 2023.<\/p>\n

Europe are looking to become the first team to win the Ryder Cup away from home since the Miracle at Medinah in 2012.<\/p>\n

Donald’s players are competing in the BMW PGA at Wentworth this week, while Bradley’s side are in action at the Procore Championship.<\/p>\n

McIlroy is looking to win the BMW PGA for the second time in his career having won the famous DP World Tour event back in 2014.<\/p>\n

The Northern Irishman produced one of the moments of his career<\/a> when draining a 30 footer for eagle to force a playoff at the Irish Open on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He then went on to win his second Irish Open in front of his adoring home fans once again at The K Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The only absentee for Europe at the BMW PGA is Sepp Straka, who continues to deal with “personal issues”.<\/p>\n

Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau are absent from Bradley’s team at the Procore Championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schauffele has seemingly wanted to remain fresh for the Ryder Cup, while DeChambeau remains suspended from the PGA Tour due to being an active LIV Golf player.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bradley had urged as many of his players to compete in the Procore Championship at Silverado because he deemed Team USA got off to a slow start in Rome last time due to not having been in competition mode on the eve of the clash.\u00a0<\/p>\n
