Leeds United are gearing towards the first Premier League game after the international break, with a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United<\/a> lost all three games to Fulham in the 2022\/23 season, with the Cottagers knocking the Whites out of the FA Cup and completing a league double over their opposition.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 last win at Craven Cottage came in March 2021, with Raphinha and Patrick Bamford securing a 2-1 win. They head for their second away game of the Premier League campaign, having lost 5-0 to Arsenal thus far.<\/p>\n

Fulham have just two points but that doesn\u2019t mean Leeds will find it easy in west London, especially following news of a recent injury coming out of Elland Road to a crucial player.<\/p>\n

It was somewhat of a coup for the 49ers to pull off the signing of Lucas\u00a0Perri after the Leeds goalkeeper turned down numerous offers<\/a> to join Daniel Farke and co. instead.<\/p>\n

In terms of a transfer fee,\u00a0Perri was said to cost Leeds around \u00a313 million<\/a>. Other reports then claimed that it could\u00a0cost Leeds \u00a315.6 million for Perri<\/a>\u00a0in total.<\/p>\n

Perri has been a huge part of Leeds\u2019 clean sheets<\/a> already, having already secured his second in a Leeds shirt in just three games. Despite that, Jamie\u00a0Carragher has worries over Leeds\u2019 Perri<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He may not have to comment on the Brazilian goalkeeper for a while now, following the latest update from Joe Donnohue of FourFourTwo regarding the 27-year-old stopper. He has become Leeds\u2019 No.1 and first-choice but they could be without him.<\/p>\n

Perri came to Leeds injured pre-Villarreal<\/a> and now Donnohue reports he\u2019s picked up his second issue of the campaign. He explains that Daniel Farke will clarify the situation on Thursday.<\/p>\n

However, he writes: \u201cPerri has sustained an injury in training, the severity of which is not known at this stage, which could see Meslier recalled to the matchday squad as a result.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say that\u00a0Perri\u2019s long throws could transform Leeds<\/a>. However, Farke has already explained how Perri can improve<\/a> this season. It makes the injury more of a blow during a crucial period of gelling with the team.<\/p>\n

Farke defended his goalkeeper after an injury this summer, stating: \u201cLucas came with an injury. Two clean sheets always good. We know he can improve his kicking.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t want him acting like a No.10 or additional outfield player, but room for improvement. Needs time with goalkeeper coach. Main thing is saving the ball. So far, so good.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s also been revealed Farke preferred Alexander Nubel to Perri<\/a>. Instead, Karl Darlow will have to step up in Perri\u2019s place<\/a> for the foreseeable.<\/p>\n
