<\/p>\n After stepping down as a senior royal and moving to the US, Prince Harry publicly released a series of text messages exchanged between Kate Middleton and his wife, Meghan Markle. The awkward messages provided a rare look into the duchesses’ stressed relationship. The text messages, outlined in Harry’s memoir, Spare, addressed the highly publicized spat between Markle and Middleton over bridesmaid dresses\u2014 specifically, Princess Charlotte\u2019s outfit for the Sussexes\u2019 grand wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n For years, media reports claimed that Markle made Middleton cry during an argument over Charlotte\u2019s dress. However, in her bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle shared her version of events, revealing that it was she who was left in tears, as reported by the Irish Star<\/a>. In Spare, Harry shared that Middleton texted the bride-to-be four days before the wedding, saying the dresses had to be fixed. But Markle didn\u2019t reply right away as she was very busy with wedding preparations and also had her father\u2019s heart surgery on her mind.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Middleton reportedly wrote to Markle, “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on at home.” To this, Markle replied, \u201cRight, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8 a.m. Here. At KP.
