Leeds United may be heading to Fulham this weekend without starting goalkeeper Lucas Perri after a reported training injury.<\/strong><\/p>\n

United\u2019s Premier League campaign resumes on Saturday afternoon with a trip down to Fulham, one of four sides yet to pick up a win this season.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, the Cottagers will still be a big test for Daniel Farke\u2019s men, who could well hand starts to two players that Leeds wanted during the summer.<\/p>\n

Lucas Perri hit with fresh injury blow ahead of Leeds United\u2019s trip to Fulham<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Lucas Perri will be pleased with his start to life in goal, despite conceding five at Arsenal and his distribution leaving a lot to be desired thus far.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because he\u2019s managed two clean sheets in three games, producing a handful of smart stops in those matches as well against Everton and Newcastle.<\/p>\n

His hopes of carrying on in that vein of form have been dealt a setback, though, as FourFourTwo\u2019s Joe Donnohue<\/a> reports of a setback for the Brazilian during training at Thorp Arch.<\/p>\n

The severity of the injury is not yet disclosed, with Farke\u2019s press conference on Thursday expected to shed light on the \u2018keeper\u2019s availability for Saturday in West London.<\/p>\n

Perri being ruled out would bring Karl Darlow in for his first Premier League outing of the season after his start against Sheffield Wednesday, while it could also spell a shock return to the squad for Illan Meslier, who has been exiled ever since it was made clear he\u2019d be set for an exit<\/a>, only for a transfer not to materialise.<\/p>\n

Karl Darlow a reliable backup for Leeds United, hopefully not a bad blow for Lucas Perri<\/p>\n

As backups go, Darlow has already proven in the back end of last season that when push comes to shove, he can fill the goalkeeper spot admirably.<\/p>\n

Admittedly, the difference between doing so as a goalkeeper in a totally dominant Championship side and a Premier League underdog is stark, but he\u2019s shown enough for us to have faith.<\/p>\n

As for Meslier, it\u2019s interesting that he could well be back in the squad if Perri is ruled out, given how we all know he ought to have been sold in the summer window, left out of squads ever since.<\/p>\n
