{"id":41304,"date":"2025-04-22T14:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-04-22T14:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/41304\/"},"modified":"2025-04-22T14:31:10","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T14:31:10","slug":"london-marathon-2025-road-closures-essential-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/41304\/","title":{"rendered":"London Marathon 2025 road closures: essential information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/london-marathon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">London Marathon<\/a> 2025 is set to take place on Sunday, April 27 \u2014 and with more than 56,000 participants expected, road closures across the capital are inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure runners can safely complete the 26.2-mile route, major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/roads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">roads<\/a> will be closed throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>The race crosses five <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">London<\/a> boroughs \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/greenwich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greenwich<\/a>, Southwark, the City of London, Tower Hamlets and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/westminster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Westminster<\/a> \u2014 meaning the event will impact far more than just those lacing up their trainers.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a full breakdown of everything you need to know about road closures on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Which roads are closed for the London Marathon 2025?<\/p>\n<p>Closed roads will be marked with yellow road closure signs on the day. Closed north to south between 10.30am and 12.30am.<\/li>\n<li>Cutty Sark DLR: Cutty Sark Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station will be entry only on Sunday. Passengers will be unable to get off trains or leave the station.
