A total of 15 sights across the country were singled out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">On Monday, September 8, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/story\/the-best-places-to-visit-in-scotland\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler publishedLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler published<\/a> a list of the top destinations around Scotland. The roundup includes cities, islands, and beauty spots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">According to the experts, the number one place to visit in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/scotland-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"ScotlandLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a> is Edinburgh. The Scottish capital is one of just two cities in the country to appear on the list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler praised <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"EdinburghLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh<\/a> for its historic Old Town, as well as neighbourhoods such as Stockbridge, Bruntsfield, and Leith. The largest city in Scotland earned praise for its diverse attractions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In particular, the experts singled out the Glasgow Necropolis cemetery and the Barrowland Ballroom <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/entertainment\/music\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"musicLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">music<\/a> venue. Glasgow was also praised for restaurants such as The Gannet and UNALOME by Graeme Cheevers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler stated: &#8220;There used to be a slightly off-putting industrial swagger to Scotland\u2019s largest city, but it\u2019s now the country\u2019s walloping cultural heart and its creative side transcends its reputation for hard drinking, rain, and sectarianism\u2014nowadays, you\u2019re more likely to experience Michelin-star cuisine in the West End, a Zaha Hadid-designed museum, or master works from the likes of Rembrandt and Van Gogh at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Perhaps though, it\u2019s the day-glo orange traffic cone that\u2019s repeatedly placed on the Duke of Wellington statue outside the Gallery of Modern Art that best sums up the city; Glasgow is funny, friendly, and nothing without its people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Meanwhile, coming in third place on the list is Fife.
