Former England captain Owen Farrell insists his focus is solely on Saracens at the moment, despite being touted for a return to Steve Borthwick\u2019s Test side.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Farrell stepped away from the international game at the end of the 2023 World Cup to prioritise his and his family\u2019s mental health. However, he marked a return to the highest level this summer after being called into the British and Irish Lions squad.<\/p>\n

Upon landing on Australian soil, Farrell went onto captain the touring side against the First Nations & Pasifika XV and later earned a spot on the bench for both Test two and three.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019ll see where we\u2019re at\u2019<\/p>\n

That, plus a return to the PREM with Saracens, has since sparked speculation he is set to return to Borthwick\u2019s team ahead of the Autumn Nations Series later this year, but the former skipper is focusing on playing his best rugby for the North London club before thinking about a potential England return.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to get myself back playing well for Saracens and enjoying myself,\u201d Farrell told Sky Sports. \u201cWe\u2019ll see where we\u2019re at.\u201d<\/p>\n

If he does indeed return to the Test squad, Farrell would add plenty of experience to the England<\/a> side.<\/p>\n

To date, the versatile back has 112 England caps to his name to date alongside four Lions tours. He is also the first Lions player to win two Test series.<\/p>\n

As mentioned above, Farrell<\/a> will once again don the black and red of Saracens this season after a one-year stint in the Top 14 with Racing 92, and is already enjoying being back at the club he made his professional debut with.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve only been back in a week,\u201d he added. \u201cI had a good break after the [Lions] tour; some of the lads are still away, but we had a good pre-season trip to South Africa [to play the Sharks] and now building into the first game against Newcastle, which should be a cracker.\u201d<\/p>\n
