Officers from the PSNI and Police Scotland have arrested a man in Glasgow on suspicion of importing Class B drugs<\/p>\n

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland\u2019s Organised Crime Branch, with assistance from Police Scotland colleagues, have arrested a man in Glasgow today, Wednesday 10 September.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of fraudulently importing a class B controlled drug, conspiracy to supply a class B controlled drug and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug.<\/p>\n

Officers from the PSNI\u2019s Cross Border Arrest and Transit Team assisted in bringing the man to Northern Ireland where he is now in custody assisting police with their enquiries.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Pyper said: \u201cWe, along with our partners, will continue to work tirelessly to tackle organised crime, and this includes the supply of illegal drugs.<\/p>\n

\u201cDrugs bring nothing but devastation. Criminals will inevitably line their pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable members of our communities, with families and loved ones left to pick up the pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

DI Pyper continued: \u201cToday\u2019s arrest is an excellent reflection of collective efforts, and we\u2019re grateful for the support of our colleagues in Police Scotland.<\/p>\n
