<\/p>\nTwo proud Brummie patriots left Martin Daubney in awe as they described their \u201cmagnificent stunt\u201d, one which the GB News star says will have pub punters buying them beers across the country.<\/p>\n
Seven miles of flags have been hung through the second city in an act described \u201cthe greatest act of British patriotism since Winston Churchill\u201d.<\/p>\n
The men behind the incredible display spoke to Martin about the act\u2019s humble beginnings and how it spiralled.<\/p>\n
Asked by Martin what inspired them to do it, Kyle Breacher said: \u201cIt started in July when some lads in a neighbouring town started putting flags up.<\/p>\n

Mr Breacher\u2019s fellow flag raiser Lee Neal concurred, saying the reaction has been \u201ccrazy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Even Elon Musk has retweeted it.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr Neal said it has not been all plain-sailing for the pair with some dissenters moving to bring the flags down.<\/p>\n One instance saw the pair fight back and raise a flag even higher on a lamppost, making its removal a difficult task.<\/p>\n Mr Neal, an avid runner, hung up many of the flags during a long-distance effort through the city.<\/p>\n Flags from all four UK nations and Ireland have been put up across Birmingham<\/p>\n | <\/p>\n GB NEWS<\/p>\n He teased GB News viewers with another run in the coming weeks which he \u201chopes people will enjoy\u201d.<\/p>\n Martin asked about the reaction from \u201clocal lefties\u201d, and Mr Neal admitted it has been an issue.<\/p>\n But the pair said that the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.<\/p>\n Council officials in Birmingham removed flags from lighting infrastructure across the Weoley Castle and Northfield areas, which some have dubbed the nation’s most patriotic neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n Birmingham City Council justified their actions by citing risks to public safety.
