Clyde 1 Superscoreboard pundits disagree over the potential for Brendan Rodgers to resign from Celtic this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodgers has maintained that he will see out his three year contract<\/a> at the Hoops, which will expire in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n

In fact, he told reporters in August there would be \u2018no chance\u2019 at all of walking away from the job during the season.<\/p>\n

But since then, Celtic failed miserably in the final days of the transfer window<\/a>, and supporters are lodging votes of no confidence in the board.<\/p>\n

Dalziel<\/a> thinks if the Celtic<\/a> board vs fans stand-off is not resolved, then there is a chance Rodgers<\/a> walks away from the Hoops for a second time.<\/p>\n

He suggests it depends on whether a job opening that attracts Rodgers arises, mentioning the Nottingham Forest job that was eventually given to Ange Postecoglou<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dalziel:<\/strong> \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised if, over the coming weeks and months if this doesn\u2019t get resolved, that he would do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf a job comes up just now\u2026 listen, I think a lot of Celtic fans must\u2019ve been looking at this Nottingham Forest situation and thinking: \u2018Oh I wonder if Brendan Rodgers has got an eye down there?’\u201d<\/p>\n

But Bartley<\/a> doesn\u2019t see him walking under any circumstances and must stay true to what he told the fans a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Bartley:<\/strong> \u201cDo you think he would go? Do you think he would walk? Honestly I can\u2019t see it, I think he will stay true to his word.<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, he\u2019ll be frustrated with all the things going on. But I think he\u2019s in a situation where he will go: \u2018I\u2019m just going to get on with it.\u2019 Because ultimately, his promise was to the supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Rodgers said about staying at Celtic until next summer<\/p>\n

Asked on August 22 before the win over Livingston at Parkhead if he would consider leaving early, Rodgers delivered a crystal clear response.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cNo chance. Absolutely no chance. No chance! We\u2019ve done that one before. It didn\u2019t go down well!<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, no, no, listen, I said from the first day, and there\u2019s no hidden messages, and there\u2019s no this and that. I said I\u2019d be here for three years. I\u2019m here for three years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will his stance change amid the ever-increasing toxic atmosphere surrounding the club?
