{"id":414099,"date":"2025-09-10T21:11:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T21:11:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/414099\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T21:11:17","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T21:11:17","slug":"horror-24-hours-of-violence-across-london-after-shootings-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/414099\/","title":{"rendered":"Horror 24 hours of violence across London after shootings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The incidents unfolded between September 7 and 8 in Dagenham and Brixton.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romfordrecorder.co.uk\/news\/25451012.braintree-road-dagenham-shooting-three-arrested\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boy, 17, in hospital after shooting in Dagenham<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a shooting outside a block of flats in Dagenham.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Police were alerted to reports of gunshots heard and a large group presence\u00a0in Braintree Road at 6.21pm on September 7.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: Contributor)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Officers attended and found the group had dispersed.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A short while later, a suspicious vehicle was seen nearby and police pursued it to Abercorn Gardens, Romford.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  One of the occupants discarded items, including two zombie knifes, which were recovered by police. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The car stopped for a second time in Barley Lane, Ilford, with police arresting two 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  All three males remain in custody.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The boy self-presented to hospital with gunshot wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Police enquiries are ongoing.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk\/news\/25452641.forster-road-brixton-hill-shooting-pictures-scene\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Man, 27, dies after double shooting in Brixton Hill<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A 27-year-old man has died after a double shooting in Brixton Hill.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Two men, aged 20 and 27, were found injured in Forster Road\u00a0at 8.50pm on September 8.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They were taken to hospital where the 27-year-old victim died in the early hours of this on September 9.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: NQ)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  His family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 20-year-old man\u2019s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He remains in hospital.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said:\u00a0\u201cMy team are working at pace to establish the full circumstances that led to this man\u2019s tragic death.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cOur thoughts remain with the victim\u2019s family and friends at this very difficult time. They continue to be supported by specialist officers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cA crime scene remains in place and residents can expect to see increased patrols in the local area as we carry out enquiries.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe urge anyone in or around New Park Road to look at any doorbell or camera footage and share anything that may be of use with police.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.
