Many were wearing tracksuits with one young male appearing to shout at a driver in the distance.

A concerned passer-by told Edinburgh Live: “There was a bunch of kids on Princes Street. What were they doing at 11pm?

“What would happen if the guy or anyone else got injured? Seriously, baby gangs are ruling the streets.”

Over the past few months, Edinburgh Live has reported on several incidents involving youths on Princes Street.

On August 14, one woman told of the moment she was approached and ‘terrorised’ by Edinburgh youths on Princes Street.

Join Edinburgh Live’s Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sentstraight to your messages.

Paint art performer, Aicon, was on the city street around 7pm before she was allegedly approached by the gang of around 15 young people.

She claimed the group ‘threw a bottle of coke’ before ‘pouring a drink’ on her leaving her hair and clothes wet.

The gang then reportedly nicked four spray paint cans she was unable to retrieve. Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Aicon said the incident was a “dangerous situation”.

On June 30, a firework thrown by youths exploded next to mums and babies in Princes Street Gardens.

The clip shows smoke billowing as terrified diners turn and look at the area where the missile was thrown.

Families can be seen sitting directly adjacent to the impact area and a mother holding her baby is visible as she walks a couple of metres away from where the pyrotechnic device blew up. Police Scotland officers launched an investigation.

Sergeant Robert Richardson said previously: “We understand the impact anti-social behaviour and disorder has on the local community, and I would like to thank locals who continue to bring these incidents to our attention. Anti-social behaviour and criminal acts will not be tolerated and those found to be committing these offences will be dealt with appropriately.

“Anyone with any concerns is encouraged to report incidents to police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A feral youth gang was caught on camera wreaking havoc on Edinburgh’s Princes Street on Tuesday evening.
