FLEMINGTON – Race 6, No.2 – ARKANSAW KID<\/strong> – Loomed to win fresh but peaked with 60kg then worked mid race 2nd-up and good again. Beat Skybird this race last year. Well-weighted here. Gate 2?<\/p>\n

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)<\/p>\n

ROSEHILL – Race 7, No.2 – JOLIESTAR<\/strong> – Resumes. Had task wide off slow speed fresh last prep yet 0.5l off Magic Time. Brilliant win fresh last Spring running sizzling time. G1 mare and all class! Lovely trial.<\/p>\n

Flemington: Race 8 – G1 Makybe Diva Stakes – WFA – 1600m<\/strong><\/p>\n

5 – VIA SISTINA – Well, I thought she might be vulnerable fresh on very wet (she was beaten in this race last year when 2nd-up, they blamed the Heavy-9 track) but, she was too classy. Won 1600m 2nd-up last prep beating Fangirl.<\/p>\n

3 – ANTINO – Good return him when wide a long way from home in fast-run race and held his ground very well. He improved out of sight 2nd-up last prep and flies when 2nd-up as a rule\u2026 (do they take off early here in slowly run race?)\u2026 might be the value danger runner!!??<\/p>\n

6 – AELIANA – Great return making Via really work to beat her. Wants all of 1600m. Stuck to task well 2nd-up last prep when 2.3L off Linebacker & Broadsiding but certainly less dynamic than when 1st-up. Brilliant Carbine Club win here in Spring as 3yo.<\/p>\n

1 – MR BRIGHTSIDE – Typically brave run fresh in Memsie when up on a fierce speed yet beat all-bar super-impressive winner. Won this last year beating Pride Of Jenni and Via. Looks only leader!! Hmmm.<\/p>\n

2 – TOM KITTEN – Resumes. Late scratch in Memsie. Been trialling super and has beaten Mr Brightside at 1600m. Can he give away match fitness to these and win.. Hmmm???<\/p>\n
