Former Chelsea star Florent Malouda believes Liverpool\u2019s summer investment in attacking players will help Mohamed Salah<\/a> become even more \u201cdangerous\u201d for opposition sides.<\/p>\n

Salah watched on during the transfer window as the Premier League<\/a> champions added Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike to their ranks, before sealing a British record deal for Alexander Isak on transfer deadline day<\/a> from Newcastle for \u00a3125m.<\/p>\n

Ekitike joined in late July from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth a potential \u00a379m, while the agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Wirtz saw the Germany international join for an initial \u00a3100m, rising to \u00a3116m if a number of success-based add-ons are achieved.<\/p>\n

To balance the books, Liverpool<\/a> sold Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, while Ben Doak was also allowed to leave, with the three deals being worth around \u00a3135m<\/a> for the Reds and Malouda thinks the reconfiguration of the forward line will, in time, help Salah thrive.<\/p>\n

Malouda, who was speaking to Boyle Sports<\/a>, said: \u201cWhen you look at Mo Salah, he’s always been able to renew himself and find pockets where he could be more effective, even though he always starts from the right. Now there’s a kind of transition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were rumours of him possibly going to Saudi Arabia, so the club is preparing to attract players who can perform at his high level and help the team win trophies. I think it’s more about creating connections with those talented new players.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom my experience, when good players bond together, they all perform much better. Liverpool isn’t expecting anything else from Mo Salah, I think. They need to bring something different that might free Mo Salah to be more dangerous.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou also need players with legs next to him for defensive balance, which is always difficult to achieve in modern football. So for me, I’m happy to see so much talent, so many different profiles.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s more about, and we’re talking about leadership, how the new players accept Mo Salah’s leadership in terms of attacking roles.\u201d<\/p>\n
