Liverpool\u2019s pursuit of Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is set to take a twist with a new offer expected to be made.<\/strong><\/p>\n It was an incredible summer window for Arne Slot\u2019s<\/a> side, as they broke the British transfer record twice on the way to bringing in a number of exciting talents.<\/p>\n Alexander Isak completed a deadline day switch to Anfield<\/a>, following the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and Milos Kerkez.<\/p>\n Now, Liverpool are already considering a move for Olise<\/a> next summer, as the Merseyside club continue to plan for the future.<\/p>\n Everton\u2019s former chief Keith Wyness<\/a> \u2013 who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs \u2013 has heard from his sources and believes that an offer will soon be made to the former Crystal Palace<\/a> attacker.<\/p>\n Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider<\/strong>\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness insisted that Bayern Munich will probably offer Olise a new contract to convince him to stay in Germany rather than completing a move to Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Frenchman is likely being shortlisted by the Reds as a potential replacement for Mohammed Salah, whose contract at Anfield expires in 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Wyness added that he doesn\u2019t think Olise is the right player to fill Salah\u2019s void when the Egyptian does eventually depart.<\/p>\n He told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast: \u201cI know that there was big talk around this. I\u2019ve seen so many comments about this as well, and I\u2019ve been trying to check on the sources. I think Bayern are probably going to be the ones that are going to offer him a renewed contract and keep him there. <\/p>\n \u201cThen that would mean another big number for Liverpool to spend. They\u2019ve still got lots of room in PSR, because they did sell as well as spending some big money. Their gap isn\u2019t that big at all, so they could still spend more.<\/p>\n \u201cIs he the sort of position they really need to replace Mo Salah? Is he the right one? Is he the right age? A lot of those questions now, but I think Real Madrid have been rumoured to be coming in as well. He\u2019s obviously impressing in the Bundesliga. <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s a dead cert to go to Liverpool by any means, and I think he\u2019ll be one of many they\u2019ll be looking at. I don\u2019t think he is the right replacement for Mo Salah.
