A man who was detained by officers from the PSNI and Police Scotland in Glasgow on suspicion of importing Class B drugs has been charged with multiple offences. <\/p>\n
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland\u2019s Organised Crime Branch, with assistance from Police Scotland colleagues, arrested the suspect in Glasgow on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
The 41-year-old has been charged with a number of offences including fraudulently importing a class B controlled drug, conspiracy to supply a class B controlled drug and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug.<\/p>\n
He is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates\u2019 Court on Thursday. <\/p>\n
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.<\/p>\n
The PSNI\u2019s Cross Border Arrest and Transit Team assisted in bringing the man to Northern Ireland where he was quizzed by detectives.<\/p>\n
Detective Inspector Pyper previously said: \u201cWe, along with our partners, will continue to work tirelessly to tackle organised crime, and this includes the supply of illegal drugs.<\/p>\n
\u201cDrugs bring nothing but devastation. Criminals will inevitably line their pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable members of our communities, with families and loved ones left to pick up the pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n
DI Pyper continued: \u201cToday\u2019s arrest is an excellent reflection of collective efforts, and we\u2019re grateful for the support of our colleagues in Police Scotland.<\/p>\n
