{"id":415497,"date":"2025-09-11T10:00:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T10:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/415497\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T10:00:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T10:00:11","slug":"f1-stars-max-verstappen-and-lewis-hamilton-exploring-motogp-team-purchases-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/415497\/","title":{"rendered":"F1 stars Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton exploring MotoGP team purchases &#8211; report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Formula 1 champions Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are reportedly exploring the possibility of owning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/tag\/motogp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MotoGP<\/a> teams.<\/p>\n<p>After Liberty Media completed its takeover of Dorna Sports, ex-Haas F1 boss Guenther Steiner announced that he will take over the Tech3 KTM MotoGP team starting in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Both Hamilton and Verstappen have already publicly declared their love for motorbike racing. <\/p>\n<p>With Tech3 now officially under Steiner\u2019s ownership and factory teams reportedly unwilling to sell, the purchase of a satellite team appears to be the most viable path forward.<\/p>\n<p>Autosport revealed that an unnamed director said that \u201cboth Hamilton\u2019s people and Verstappen\u2019s people have contacted all the private teams to express interest in buying them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen\u2019s camp has reportedly held discussions with LCR, but the Dutchman\u2019s manager Raymond Vermeulen, shared a wary response when asked about this possible venture. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMax is a big racing enthusiast in general.
