According to the\u00a0Telegraph,\u00a0it\u2019s a place with a rich blend of cultures, a characterful mix of independent shops and caffs, an energetic offering of bars, boozers and music venues, and a bit of \u2018grit\u2019. All that considered, the paper crowned\u00a0<strong>Peckham<\/strong>\u00a0the coolest London neighbourhood of them all.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Telegraph\u00a0called the\u00a0SE15 \u2018loud, messy and more than a bit chaotic\u2019. It wrote: \u2018Step off the busy, litter-strewn thoroughfare and Peckham opens up. Home to a vibrant Afro-Caribbean community, the neighbourhood is never boring \u2013 or silent. Jazz wafts from the CLF Art Lounge most weekends, DJs pump out electronica from rooftop bars, and there\u2019s always Afrobeat playing somewhere \u2013 they don\u2019t call it \u201cLittle Lagos\u201d for nothing.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Time Out named Peckham London\u2019s coolest area back in 2018 and 2019. In our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/things-to-do\/peckham-london-area-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guide to the area,<\/a> Time Out contributor and Peckham local Lauren O\u2019Neill said: \u2018It would be a total understatement to call Peckham a melting-pot. Home to Del Boy, road rap hero Giggs, national acting treasures Olivia Colman and John Boyega and a much-photographed pink staircase, this south-east London neighbourhood is a place where a multitude of cultures exist alongside one another, creating a vibe that is completely unique.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0recommend stopping by \u2018much-loved bastion\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/cinemas\/peckhamplex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peckhamplex<\/a> for a \u00a35.99 movie, partying at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/clubs\/the-carpet-shop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/clubs\/the-carpet-shop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carpet Shop<\/a>, trying the fried chicken at Malaysian joint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/janda-diner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Janda Diner<\/a> or checking out the outdoor artwork at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/art\/bold-tendencies-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bold Tendencies<\/a>.
