{"id":415960,"date":"2025-09-11T14:08:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T14:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/415960\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T14:08:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T14:08:13","slug":"ftse-100-and-us-stocks-higher-as-us-consumer-inflation-ticks-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/415960\/","title":{"rendered":"FTSE 100 and US stocks higher as US consumer inflation ticks up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Yahoo Finance UK&#8217;s Vicky McKeever writes:<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Shares in Fevertree Drinks (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/FEVR.L\" data-ylk=\"slk:FEVR.L;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FEVR.L<\/a>) jumped 10%, after the tonic-maker announced that it was extending its share buyback programme by a further \u00a330m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">In first half results released on Thursday, Fevertree reported total adjusted revenue of \u00a3172.2m, which was little changed on the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">However, profit before tax was down 15% for the first half to \u00a311.2m, compared to \u00a313.2m for the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">In addition, the company gave an update on its strategic partnership with Molson Coors (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/TAP\" data-ylk=\"slk:TAP;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TAP<\/a>), announced in January, which gives the beverage company exclusive rights to sell, distribute, and produce the Fever-Tree brand in the United States. Fevertree said that the move into Molson Coors&#8217; national network of distributors commenced in June as planned and is progressing well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Mark Crouch, market analyst at eToro, said: &#8220;Fevertree\u2019s much-heralded partnership with Molson Coors, was meant to put some fizz back into the premium mixer. A gateway to scale a chance to sharpen its presence in the all-important US market. There are signs of promise, US revenues edged higher in the latest update, helped by stronger distribution and brand visibility. But momentum still feels laboured.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">&#8220;At home, however, the picture is less effervescent,&#8221; he said. &#8220;UK revenues have declined, and the domestic market, once the brand\u2019s powerhouse, looks increasingly saturated.
