Washington would also propose to freeze the Ukrainian frontline, effectively leaving large areas of eastern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/ukraine\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ukraine<\/a> in Moscow&#8217;s hands, the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2025\/04\/22\/ukraine-russia-rubio-london-crimea-peace-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Post<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The US proposals were reportedly presented to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/ukraine\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ukraine<\/a> in Paris last week, with US, Ukrainian and European officials set to meet in London for talks on Wednesday. US officials are also said to have discussed eventually lifting sanctions against Moscow under a future accord.
