The closure was prompted by a police incident. On the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"M1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/m1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M1<\/a> Northbound, traffic was held from J4 in Elstree and J5 in Watford. Traffic was also held southbound between J6 in Bricket Wood and J5, National Highways said on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">The organisation warned that motorists should expect <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Traffic News\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/traffic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delays<\/a>.
