Thanet Athletics Club\u2019s Lilly Beckett has returned from the World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany with an incredible haul of medals, proudly representing Team Great Britain.<\/p>\n

The 18 years old transplant recipient showcased her talent and determination on the international stage, competing against athletes from across the globe.<\/p>\n

She played a key role in Great Britain\u2019s gold medal-winning 4x100m relay team, running the third leg with confidence and speed.<\/p>\n

Lilly also impressed in both sprint events, achieving personal milestones. In the 100m sprint, she clocked 14.92 seconds, a new personal best, earning her a bronze medal. She followed this with another strong performance in the 200m, recording 32.19 seconds to claim the silver medal, despite feeling under the weather on the day.<\/p>\n

These results mark significant progress, with her previous best times standing at 15.39s (100m) and 32.40s (200m).<\/p>\n

Lilly\u2019s achievements are not only a reflection of her dedication to athletics, but also a celebration of the opportunities the World Transplant Games provide for transplant recipients to demonstrate the power of sport, resilience, and community.<\/p>\n
